ASB Unplugged-Mumbai-Final Thoughts

After 4 days and many workshops at ASB Unplugged, one inescapable direction emerges. Movement toward a one to one computing environment is inevitable and it’s only a question of "how long" and not "if"it should happen. To quote the keynote speaker, Scott McLeod, “Taking a pencil away from a child will soon be the equivalent to not allowing laptops in the classroom.” We have a golden opportunity at QA to distinguish ourselves as the premiere technical literacyschool in the region by moving to a… Continue

Thanks for the heartening comment Sam. As HOD Tech you may understand how we classroom teachers are such pains. Kids climbing the walls and the teacher muttering...oh! it's the plug.
(Been in that situation with others) Very Grass Roots....which is another exciting thing. Will enjoy watching the developments of the Horizon 2008 that you are doing. Cheers....'n I like the page!

Hi Sam
I recognised your picture from the ASD conference - you see so many people during the 3 days. I did have the chance to speak with Julie and Beverley ( briefly) . I love your comment about the tech. staff _ coming from a business computing background into education some 12 years ago, the tech . staff are our backbone, but rarely recognized.
