Digital Footprints 3-week workshop
Today is the last session for the QA Primary School PD strand with the following discription:
"Footprints on the Digital Sands of Time" - What is means to be an educator in the 21st Century
As an educator in the 21st century do you follow digital footprints? Do you leave your own digital footprint? How important is it to have an online presence, a personal learning environment and a virtual network of colleagues? This session will look at starting with baby steps and show how easily these can become confident strides on the digital sands of learning using connectivity and collaboration tools as the keys to success.

In brief we have covered the following:
- PLNs - what they are, how to get started
- Twitter - making the most of this micro-blogging tool
- Social bookmarking - connecting and sharing
- Educational networking - what is this thing called Ning?
- Blogging - getting started
I invite participants in the course to respond to this blog post with a comment including thoughts on content covered, ideas for further development, ideas for what could have been covered.

I felt that it was a great time to consolidate all the bits an pieces of knowledge that i have been gathering this past period as a digital citizen.
