E-Learning For Life

Fostering a professional learning community in Qatar and beyond

My first ever blog.
Jannie K and I were lucky enough to have the opportunity to go to Bangkok early (prior to the NESA conference) to visit two schools. International School of Bangkok (ISB) and Bangkok Patana. The purpose of these visits was to observe ISB and Patana's use of teachnology in the classroom. ISB have a laptop program and Patana do not, apart from this difference, their use and the support they receive for the technology is very similar. I am in the process of preparing a document giving more details of our observations and will post this to the Ning when it is finished, along with information I gathered at the NESA conference, on Cyber Safety, Web 2.0 tools and a couple of other presentations I attended.

One of the highlights of the trip was attending the very informative presentation by Ann Jahr.

Have a look at photos I have posted here of both schools.

Thanks Sue! I look forward to reading more about your experiences in Bangkok. It would be great if you shared your report via the PD wiki set up for QA and then hyperlink to this from the Ning. This wiki page gives you details: http://professionaldevelopment.qataracademy.wikispaces.net/Conference+Reports
You will need to join the wiki in order to create a new page and add content.
