E-Learning For Life

Fostering a professional learning community in Qatar and beyond

I'm taking advice from Kim and practice learning by lurking (and trying to figure out why it won't upload a picture!)...
In the meantime, while the Sports Days are still fresh in my mind - any comments? I have talked to some people already but I guess this is the right place to collect comments and feedback so that next year will be even better. For example, should we make it a whole day event?

Well done! The events and rotations were very well organized and fun. The time of year was perfect as well (weatherwise). The kids had a blast. I agree with the half day+ picnic idea. Thank you for all your hard work.

Love the picnic idea, let's do that for next year. The half day thing is hard as we would need two, one for primary and one for ECE., or we could have a movie afternoon or something similar. We could picnic in the house colours.... Thanks to everyone for thier assistance with the day.

I also agree about making a picnic lunch afterwards. I liked the houses. I think it helps with the community spirit. My kids had a great time and they were very quiet in the afternoon. Great job to everyone in the P.E. department!

Agree with all of the above. I think It could be slightly longer for the older kids just because their attention span is longer but the picnic lunch may be just the answer. Thanks for the hard work!

I totally agree with Karen! The children had a great day and it was neat to do something outside the classroom! However 2 hours was enough with 22 seven yr olds in a different environment. A half day would be great with a picnic lunch after! They really enjoyed all the activities and it was great when there was someone at the station who knew what they were doing. I recomend trying to get more parent helpers for next year. Over all it was a great day!

We were talking about it today in Grade 4 and saying how much the kids enjoyed it and that it went really smoothly, well done. We were also thinking that it might be a good idea to make it either a half day so they go home after the events, or have it in the afternoon or give the kids a picnic lunch to have when they finish to make it even more of an event. It was tough for some kids to go back to the classroom after a morning of activities outside!
