A MAC WORLD-ISSUES WITH USING MACS

I still love my MAC, but.....I just opened up Entourage (The MAC equivalent of Outlook) and it ate my in-box and sent maill. It sent it to junk-mail and then proceeded to delete it.

This is the second time this has occurred and is a bit devastating for file keeping. I'll have to explore why this is happening.

Another issue I've discovered is that the VPN doesn't work from ECCH for me. It works fine on the windows bootcamp side but not at all on the Mac side.

After a little researcch, I see that Entourage can interpret and be confused by rules set up in Outlook. make sure there are no conflicts i n your rules before you turn on Entourage.

Hey Sam,
I just use Mail for all my QF email. I can't access it from home, but I was told that it wouldn't work in Entourage from home either. I haven't had any issues so far...

I think you could access it at home if you had VPN installed.

Sam. I'm sorry to hear that. Blame Microsoft! (After all, Entourage is their product). Apple Mail is, in my experience, an excellent product and I used it with my QA MacBook last year to access my QF mail with no problems. Of course the functionality is not exactly the same as Outlook but I'm not sure that there are any significant features it's missing......
But, of course, as with any other software preference, if one's preferred application is Windows-only, then a Mac is probably not the best choice!
