Great book that illustrates how hard CHANGE is...

If you have some time this summer read "Who Moved My Cheese?" There is an adult version and a picture book version. It so cleverly and humorously illustrates the whole process of CHANGE. I saw the adult version at Virgin but you can get it anywhere online as well. I have often seen the picture book version being used in inservices for administrators and teachers. After the last 2 days we've had we will be able to make many connections to the book and hopefully after understanding that fear is a natural part of the change process we will be more willing and excited to embark in new adventures. Ana, I love this book! I had the desk calendar about 3 years ago and used to send out the daily quip to staff..much to their consternation!
I am just wondering if this type of announcement re a book would be better as a blog post rather than a forum? We also need to develop a resources wiki page and add all of these wonderful resources so others can find them easily. Will do that this week.

If you have realised that your cheese has been moved and you are hungry enough to go looking for it rather than just asking who moved it then "What's Worth Fighting for in Your School" by Fullan and Hargreaves is an excellent place to start. Sorry if this reply should be on a blog or wiki. Just let me know Julie.

Last year Hana bought the whole Admin team a copy of this book. People are welcome to borrow it.

I agree David, it's an excellent book. He is definitely an authority in school leadership. He also has great articles for download on his website http://www.michaelfullan.ca/
